Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning ruled out for Week 15

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will not play in Week 15 against the Texans.

There was little chance Luck would be ready for the match-up for the top spot in the AFC South. Luck’s kidney continues to keep him sidelined even though he was able to return to practice on Wednesday.

The Colts believe 40-year-old Matt Hasselbeck will be able to play come Sunday but he is far from a safe bet as he too is dealing with injuries to his ribs and left arm. Third string for the Colts is Charlie Whitehurst.

Manning will not be active on Sunday

The Broncos may be forced to turn back to Peyton Manning at quarterback but that move will not happen in Week 15.

A day after it was announced that Brock Osweiler would start against the Steelers the Broncos are ruling Manning out.

That leaves Trevor Siemian as the next guy up for the Broncos should something happen to Osweiler.

While Manning has been pretty bad much of the season, aside from games with extra rest the Broncos are not getting anything out of Osweiler anymore either. They may end up having to go back to Manning.
