Tom Savage enters game for injured Ryan Fitzpatrick

Rookie quarterback Tom Savage has entered the Texans game against the Colts after starter Ryan Fitzpatrick suffered a leg injury.

Savage began to warm up on the field after Fitzpatrick went down after being tackled by Arthur Jones.

This is Savage’s first taste of the NFL. Savage’s first pass was a nine yard pass to DeAndre Hopkins.

The Texans began the season with Fitzpatrick under center before turning to Ryan Mallett. That did not last long as Mallett went down with a season ending pectoral injury.

Fitzpatrick had a boot placed on his left leg and was carted off the field. The early indication is that it is broken.
