Colt McCoy re-injures neck, Robert Griffin III in for Redskins

So much for Colt McCoy.

After being cleared to start Sunday’s game against the Giants, McCoy lasted only one drive before re-injuring his neck.

McCoy initially suffered the injury a week ago in a loss to the Rams.

Robert Griffin III came in to replace him. With a showdown between head coach Jay Gruden and Griffin looming this could be the quarterback’s chance to convince owner Daniel Snyder and general manager Bruce Allen that they should choose him.
