DeSean Jackson and Percy Harvin to play, Ronnie Hillman out for Week 15

Here is a listing of the injury updates for the NFL and Week 15.

Jets wide receiver Percy Harvin will play against the Titans.

Harvin was able to practice on Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday. With Geno Smith as the Jets quarterback it is hard to peg Harvin’s output. He went off for six catches, 124 yards and a touchdown last week but had totaled just two receptions for eight yards over his previous two games.

Redskins wide out DeSean Jackson will play Sunday against the Giants despite a shin injury.

Jackson missed one game  but  will return to see targets from Colt McCoy in this one. In his two games with McCoy under center he has totaled 11 catches for 220 yards and a touchdown. He practiced every day this week and is one of the few players to watch in this contest.

Also playing Sunday will be Patriots receiver Julian Edelman who has a thigh injury. Edelman and the Patriots will take on the Dolphins in this one. A week ago he went off on the Chargers for eight catches, 141 yards and a touchdown and there is plenty of reason to believe a duplicate performance could be in the works.

Ronnie Hillman does not figure to play for the Broncos in their AFC West match-up against the Chargers.

Hillman was able to practice this week and should be able to return next week. C.J. Anderson and Juwan Thompson will get the ball on Sunday. Anderson has rolled off a handful of nice games meaning Hillman may merely be a change of pace when he does return.

Another player who will not be playing is Julio Jones. This is not a surprise. Jones had a monster game on Monday against the Packers but is now dealing with a hip injury. It’s a significant blow to the Falcons who are trying to win the NFC South and will play a Steelers team who has a poor secondary. Jones would have put up huge numbers in this game.
