With both Jonathan Stewart (knee) and DeAngelo Williams (ankle) sidelined for Sunday’s game against the Bears it will be undrafted free agent Darrin Reaves who starts Week 5 for the Panthers.
Reaves has shown some big play ability but will have to get things going early against a Bears defense ranked 20th against the run if he wants to continue to get carries. The Bears are allowing 122.5 rushing yards per game.
Fozzy Whittaker and Chris Ogbonnaya also are expected to see playing time in the Panthers backfield this week.
Fantasy Impact: Those looking for flex options may want to plug Reaves into their lineup. While the Bears shut down Eddie Lacy a week ago they have struggled overall against the run.
