The Cincinnati Bengals have placed quarterback A.J. McCarron on the non-football injury list.
McCarron, 23, had been limited since joining the Bengals as a fifth round draft choice in this years draft. Even if he was healthy the former Alabama signal caller faced an uphill battle in beating out Jason Campbell for the right to be Andy Dalton’s backup.
Former Oakland Raiders fourth-round pick Tyler Wilson was let go by the Bengals a day ago. He had been signed as a camp arm.
