It is time for your daily update on the quarterback situation in Cleveland.
On Monday Brian Hoyer started practice with the Browns first team offense. That left first round pick Johnny Manziel on the sidelines.
While the Browns have maintained that Hoyer is ahead of Manziel on the depth chart, Manziel is expected to start the second preseason game. Browns coach Mike Pettine is playing this one close to his chest right now with both Hoyer and Manziel expected to see time with the starters next Monday at Washington.
