Rashad Jennings is expected to be the workhorse running back for the New York Giants in 2014 reports ESPN New York.

Signed as a free agent, Jennings is looking to get the bulk of the carries ahead of David Wilson who is still trying to come back from a neck injury.

“They like him as a between-the-tackles runner and as a receiver out of the backfield, and they will work with him in camp to make sure he can handle the necessary protection responsibilities to play on third downs.” writes Dan Graziano.

Jennings totaled a career high 733 yards with the Oakland Raiders in 2013 scoring six touchdowns on the ground. He added 36 receptions for 292 yards.
