The Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins will play against each other in the opening round of the NFC Playoffs. FOX will carry the game from FedEx Field in Landover, MD which has a 4:30 pm EST kickoff.

Both teams are led by first year quarterbacks. That will headline this game but also both teams boast accomplished ground attacks and capable defenses.

What is the point spread in the Seahawks and Redskins game? The Seahawks are 3 point favorites against the Redskins. The over/under for this game is 46 total points.

Road Record 3-5 5-3

Washington won last week against Dallas. That win gave them the NFC East and a playoff birth. A large part of that win had to do with the struggles of Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. While the Redskins will hope for the same against Seahawk rookie Russell Wilson, expect the Seahawks to attack with a ground game that ranked towards the top in the NFC.

Washington has an accomplished running game of their own. Rookie Alfred Morris topped 1,6000 yards rushing for the regular season and coupled with quarterback Robert Griffin III the Redskins feature the most dangerous running game outside of Minnesota.

The problem for the Redskins is they have not played a defense like the one of Seattle all season. The Seahwaks allowed an NFL best 15.8 points per game.

If there is one advantage for the Redskins in this one it is unquestionably homefield advantage. Seattle was unbeatable at home but was just 3-5 on the road.

Washington’s last two postseasons ended with road losses to Seattle following the 2005 and 2007 seasons.
