Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers point spread, line and odds

The Philadelphia Eagles will play at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Scheduled for a 1 p.m. EST kickoff this game will be aired on Fox in select markets.

Combined the two teams have lost 10 games in a row. Sure that stat heavily factors in the Eagles string of 8 consecutive losses but the Buccaneers have lost their last two games as well.

At 4-8 the Eagles are committed to seeing what they have in quarterback Nick Foles as all signs have pointed to the departure of Andy Reid and Michael Vick at seasons end. Thus far Foles has struggled but the Eagles have been without LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson in recent weeks so he has not exactly had anyone to pass the ball to. For all competitive purposes the Eagles defense has quit on the team.

Tampa Bay was looking like a Wild Card team a few weeks ago. Now at 6-6 the Buccaneers are coming off stinging losses to Atlanta and Denver. The biggest discrepancy with the Buccaneers seems to be their defense, ranked No. 1 against the run and last against the pass. It would also be hard to believe that the Buccaneers are 4th in points per game but Josh Freeman has tossed 23 touchdowns and the running game is in great hands with rookie Doug Martin. If not for all the attention on the quarterbacks, Martin would be a strong rookie of the year candidate.

So whats the spread in the Eagles and Buccaneers game? The line on this game is inconsistent. Half of the places have Tampa Bay by 7, the other half have them by 9. The general consensus for the over/under is 47.5 total points.
