Baltimore Ravens at Washington Redskins point spread, line and odds

The Baltimore Ravens “travel” this week to play the Washington Redskins. This game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. EST kickoff on CBS and features what should be an interesting match-up of  a veteran defense and an athletic quarterback.

Last week the Ravens lost in heartbreaking fashion at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers who were playing with third string quarterback Charlie Batch. This week they have to try and contain Robert Griffin III. The Ravens defense gives up chuncks of yards but does a good job of limiting the number of poitns allowed. (20.2) The Ravens expect Terrell Suggs to play in this game but how much of a factor he will be is unclear. Offensively the Ravens score 25.5 points per game but have not topped 20 points in their last three games.

Washington is coming off a win against the New York Giants. At 6-6, and with three straight wins, their confidence is sky high. Griffin has exceeded expectations and though the air and on the ground but do not forget about Alfred Morris who is over 1,100 yards and looks as formidable as any running back in football right now.

So what is the spread in the game between the Ravens and Redskins? The Redskins are 2.5 point favorites against the Ravens. The game opened as a toss up. The over/under for the game is set at 47.5.

How the Ravens attack the Redskins defense will be key to this game. Joe Flacco has been getting a lot of flack lately but he has a chance to put up a good day and lead the Ravens to a win against a Redskins team who is 31st against the pass. Ray Rice on the other hand would appear to have a harder time as the Redskins are 4th against the run.
