Carl Edwards was involved in his fifth wreck in 30 days at Daytona International Speedway, continuing his string of bad luck.

Edwards was coming into this season hopeful of a better start after his disappointing 2012 season. The good news for Edwards is this is only race 1 of 36.

The accident happened when Brad Keselowski got bundled up in between David Reutimann and Trevor Bayne causing Keselowski to lose control of his car causing the  incident. It was the second wreck of the race and took out several more cars including Edwards.

“This has been so frustrating – this has not been fun. My guys have been working hard, were ready to go to Phoenix to dominate. We are not being held down this year.” Edwards said while sitting in the garage for repairs.
