Corey LaJoie driving Scooby Doo car at Martinsville

NASCAR Cup Series driver Corey LaJoie is use to turning heads for the car he drives. On Sunday the driver of the No. 32 Corvette Parts Ford Mustang will be driving a Scooby Doo themed car.

LaJoie’s car will have fans remembering the Mystery Machine while familiar heros Scooby Doo and Shaggy appear on the sides and hood of the car for the running of the First Data 500. After all it figures a driver who would paint Ninja Turtles onto the racing surface at Charlotte would welcome another cartoon character to his ride.

LaJoie has made three previous starts at Martinsville Speedway. Earlier this season he completed 489 of the 500 laps finishing 33rd. He also scored a 33rd finish in the Fall 2017 race while his best run was a 28th place run in the Spring of 2017 while with BK Racing.

This season LaJoie has run 32 Cup Series races scoring two top-ten finishes while also finishing on the lead lap eight times. The two top-ten finishes are the first two of his career and came at the most recent races at Daytona and Talladega.

Earlier this year LaJoie made headlines when he drove the Old Spice Ford Mustang which included his face wrapped on the front end in the season opening Daytona 500.
