Hemric wins first NASCAR Cup Series career pole, Kansas Qualifying Results

After being the fastest in final practice on Friday, Daneil Hemric doubled down and claimed the first pole of his NASCAR Cup Series career at Kansas Speedwaying during Saturday’s qualifying session.

Hemric’s lap of 178.047 bested David Ragan’s 177.842 in what will be a surprise front row for a NASCAR Playoff race.

One driver who did not qualify for the Hollywood Casino 400 was Kevin Harvick who failed pre-qualifying inspectiong multiple times earning car chief Robert Smith an ejection from the track.

Sunday’s race will air on NBC and MRN beginning at 2:30 pm ET.
