NASCAR at Brickyard: Indy Weekend Schedule and Race Start times

The annual trip to Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the famed Brickyard takes place the first weekend in September this year for both the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the Xfinity Series. On track activity starts on Friday with racing taking place Saturday and Sunday.

Kissing bricks and drinking milk has been a tradition at this 2.5 mile track for almost three decades but this year the race includes the intrigue of securing a playoff spot for the Cup Series as this is their final race before the playoffs.

Weather

Rain is not expected to be a factor and fortunately for fans neither should the heat for race day. Temps are their highest on Friday peaking at 82 before dropping to a high of just 74 with clouds for Sunday’s Cup race.
