NASCAR Goes West makes its second stop this weekend at ISM Raceway, formerly known as Phoenix.
Both the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the Xfinity Series will be in action this weekend with events taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
This will be the second race of the season with the new 2019 aero package. ISM Raceway has undergone a lot of changes but the 1-mile trioval with low banking has produced some interesting races in recent years. The venue seats 42,000 but others prefer to take in the race on Rattlesnake Hill outside of the track.

After rain unexpectedly impacted practice and Xfinity Series qualifying a week ago in Las Vagas, a look at the weather report this weekend may not calm anyone in the NASCAR garage. Temps are expected to be in the low to mid-60’s on Friday and Saturday. Sunday’s race is expected to be the warmest day with temps nearing the mid-70’s. Rain is not expected to hit the area until Monday.
