Preece’s gas man suffers broken fibula, torn ACL

When Ryan Preece ran into the back of B.J. McLeod on pit road it took the No. 47 Chevrolet out of the race. It also resulted in Anthony Pasut suffering a broken fibula and torn ACL in his right leg.

Supplied from Hendrick Motorsports, Pasut had been assigned to JTG Daugherty Racing this season. Hendrick Motorsports will now have to send a replacement later in the week to fuel Preece’s car.

Preece, a contender for Rookie of the Year, said he had looked down at his tacometer prior to hitting McLeod.
