Natalie Decker starting 16th in Atlanta truck race

A week after finishing last at Daytona, Natalie Decker is hoping for a better result in her second career Gander Outdoors Truck Series event.

In the opening laps of last weekend’s event at Daytona the No. 54 truck of Decker caught fire on the left front end and knocked her out of the event. Unfortunately for Decker she did not get to run any qualifying laps on Saturday morning as rain forced the event to be canceled.

NASCAR ended up setting the lineup for the Ultimate Tailgating 200 by the rule book which leaves Decker to start 16th.
