Austin HIll won the Gander Outdoors Truck Series season opener at Daytona surviving a race that was more about attrition than actual ability.
The NextEra Energy Resources 250 has traditionally kicked off the NASCAR season for the Truck Series.
Christian Eckes began the race on the pole but the start of the race would see Natalie Decker catch fire which relegated her to a last place finish in her Truck Series debut.
A slue of cautions came in the closing laps including a record setting 10th caution which forced the event to go to overtime. But the cautions did not stop there as even overtime would see the yellow flag.
The number of caution flags was not missed on social media.
