Race forces NASCAR Truck Race at Martinsville to resume Sunday after Cup race

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway has been placed in a red flag after just 24 laps.

Ben Rhodes began the race on the pole and had led all 24 laps before rain arrived at the paperclip shaped track.

NASCAR wasted little time in announcing that the Alpha Energy 250 truck series race would see it’s conclusion following Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race.

Rain is expected to continue at the track with 1-4 inches of snow also possible. Cup Series qualifying has also been cancelled for the day.
