While they may not always act like it on the track, the NASCAR community is repetitively close knit.
On Tuesday driver Matt DiBenedetto made a plea via social media for funding for Go Fas Racing that would help them run at the Phoenix based ISM Raceway.
It took only a matter of minutes before drivers Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick kicked in $5,000 each. They were joined by Darrell Waltrip who committed another $5,000 though his “Boogity Brands” and suddenly it appears that the No. 32 Ford will be on the track again this weekend.
Hey guys!
We hate doing this, but we are UNSPONSORED as of right now for @ISMRaceway this weekend! If you or anyone you know has the ability to help us connect with a business interested in coming on board this weekend please contact the @GoFasRacing32 page ASAP! pic.twitter.com/3hbFnTBBqI

The flurry of financial commitments via social media was something that DiBenedetto, who is in his fourth full-season at the Cup level, later thanked everyone for.
We got to see the good heartwarming side of social media today…that’s for sure! #BlessedAndGrateful
