The future of the Furniture Row Racing No. 77 Toyota Camry has been a topic of discussion in NASCAR. On Wednesday the team released a statement addressing the No. 77 car saying they did not have plans to field it for the 2018 season. Instead the team will focus soley on the No. 78 car driven by Martin Truex Jr.

FRR has failed to attract sponsors to their organization despite Truex’s series high six wins this season.

The full statement from Barney Visser, team owner, is below.

“As Furniture Row Racing looks ahead to the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season, the Denver, Colo. based team is not planning to field the No. 77 Toyota as a second car entry. It is our organization’s goal to operate a two-car team in the future and we will continue to seek sponsorship funding for the No. 77. Our 100 percent focus for next season will be on the No 78 Toyota Camry, which will be driven by Martin Truex Jr.”
