NASCAR at Las Vegas 2016: Weekend schedule, race start time and tv streaming

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Xfinity Series are both in action this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

On Friday both series will hit the 1.5-mile track for practice with the Cup Series qualifying for the Kobalt 400 to close out the day. On Saturday the Xfinity Series takes center stage with the Boyd Gaming 300 being run. Finally on Sunday it’s the Kobalt 400.

FRIDAY, MARCH 4:
1:30-2:55 p.m.: NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice, FS1
3:30-4:55 p.m.: NASCAR XFINITY Series practice, FS1
6-6:55 p.m.: NASCAR XFINITY Series final practice, FS1
7:45 p.m.: NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coors Light Pole Qualifying, FS1

SATURDAY, MARCH 5:
11:30 a.m.-12:25 p.m.: NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice, FS1
12:45 p.m.: NASCAR XFINITY Series Coors Light Pole Qualifying, FS2
2:30-3:20 p.m.: NASCAR Sprint Cup Series final practice, FS1
4 p.m.: NASCAR XFINITY Series Boyd Gaming 300 (200 laps, 300 miles), FS1 Green Flag: 4:16 p.m.

SUNDAY, MARCH 6:

Weather

Temperatures will be in the upper 70’s and low-80’s for Friday and Saturday before reaching a high of just 66 on Sunday. The difference surely will be noticed early on in the Cup race on Sunday as some times may misjudge the handling of their car for race day.
