There is only one race on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule before the Chase starts.
Next weekend drivers will have their last chance to punch a spot in the Chase at Richmond International Raceway.
Following Sunday’s running of the Bojangles Southern 500 at Darlington there are a handful of drivers who will enter next weekend’s race with a spot locked up.
RESULTS: Edwards wins Southern 500
Carl Edwards, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano. Dale Earnhardt Jr., Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex, Matt Kenseth, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin are all in the Chase with wins.
