Matt Crafton won Friday night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Kansas Speedway.
The driver of the No. 88 Menards Toyota Tunda finished ahead of Ryan Newman and Johnny Sauter to claim the win in the Toyota Tundra 250.
Erik Jones began Friday night’s race on the pole and for much of the night no one had anything for the rookie in the No. 4 Toyota Tundra of Kyle Busch Motorsports but with six laps to go he would run out of gas and be forced to the pits. This allowed Tyler Reddick who was running in a backup truck to assume the lead. Reddick would run out of gas with three to go giving way to Daniel Suarez but his head was short lived when Matt Crafton went around to take the lead moments later.
Crafton’s win in the seventh of his career. With the win he becomes the first repeat winner at Kansas.
