If Kurt Busch wants to do the Double again then he has the approval of car owner Tony Stewart.
Stewart twice attempted the double – running the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 in the same day.
“I’m 100 percent supportive if he wants to do that again,” Stewart said, according to PaddockTalk.com. “I thought for somebody that had not been in an IndyCar to go over there, and as tough as the IndyCar Series is right now, to have a performance like that was unbelievable.
“He did a phenomenal job.”
Stewart remains the only driver to complete both ends of The Double. Busch had a surprising sixth place run at Indianapolis but suffered motor issues in the 600 and finished 40th.
