Kevin Harvick won Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Phoenix International Raceway.
The driver of the No. 4 Budweiser Chevrolet finished ahead of Jeff Gordon and Matt Ken seth.
While the race win was important, so too was the rest of the field as four drivers qualified to go to Miami-Homestead Speedway and compete for the Sprint Cup Series championship. These drivers include Harvick, Ryan Newman, Joey Logno and Denny Hamlin.

Sunday’s Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 began with Denny Hamlin on the pole. Kevin Harvick, a winner of three of the last six races at Phoenix, quickly established himself as the car to beat. With 97 laps to go the race was red flagged after Kyle Busch got lose and was run into by Clint Bowyer.
After a track record 12 cautions Harvick drove away from the field while Newman relied on a late pass of Kyle Larson who hit the wall in turn 4 on the last lap.
