The failure of the No. 29 Toyota of RAB Racing to pass post qualifying inspect has allowed Reed Sorenson to be in the field for Sunday’s Geico 500 at Talladega.
Originally it appeared that Nemechek had made the 43 car field but an improperly sealed oil tank encasement has knocked him out of the field.
While Nemechek has appeared in 15 races this season both of his attempts for RAB Racing have been unsuccessful. Also failing to make the race were Ricky Stenhouse Jr and Justin Allgaier.
