Citing a need to perform well in the Chase, Joe Gibbs was mum on Saturday about any potential crew chief changes on his three Sprint Cup Series cars.

“Our biggest concern is, we want to do everything at once,” said Gibbs. “We’ve got a lot up in the air on the Nationwide side, still. And so, I think as soon as we get that settled down, we can kind of make an announcement.”

Next season JGR will expand to four cars with the arrival of Carl Edwards, a move that is expected to see Darian Grubb move over from the No. 11 car driven by Denny Hamlin.

Another longstanding rumor in the NASCAR garage is that Dave Rodgers will become JGR’s competition director with Adam Stevens becoming the crew chief of Kyle Busch.

“Of course, the other thing for us right now is it’s all Chase,” said Gibbs. “We don’t need any more announcements, we just need to run good in the Chase.”
