When the No. 3 Chevrolet SS driven by Austin Dillon hits the track at Kansas Speedway this weekend it will do so with American Ethanol acting as sponsor.
This is not the first time American Ethanol has appeared on a car driven by Dillon. American Ethanol, a renewable source of cleaner burning energy from the bounty of America’s farmers, has allowed NASCAR drivers to run more than six million miles on renewable Sunoco Green E15 since the 2011 season.
Dillon will be driving the same car he drove at Pocono which produced a 15th place finish before it went to Michigan and allowed him to run inside the top-ten for much of the day prior to a few unscheduled pit-stops late that resulted in a 30th place run.
“I’m really comfortable at Kansas Speedway. I’ve earned pole awards there in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and I feel like I’ve made quite a few laps there in both of those Series. I made my first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start there. It’s a fun track and it’s getting even more fun as the surface wears in, following the repave.”
