Kyle Busch went to the top of the speed chart in Happy Hour for Sunday’s running of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway but it was not without cost.
Busch spun in turn two hitting the wall with the right side of his No. 18 M&M’s Toyota forcing his Joe Gibbs crew to unload their backup car. He had qualified seventh for Sunday’s race.
It was not the first time Busch found the wall at Charlotte this weekend. He also crashed his Nationwide Series car in practice before having it repaired at the show and then setting the fast time in qualifying for Saturday’s History 300.
