The No. 32 Ford Fusion of Go FAS Racing will have a new driver in the seat for the next two race weekends.
Blake Koch will step behind the wheel of the car for the Sprint Showdown and the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Koch made his Sprint Cup Series debut at Charlotte last far driving the No. 95 Ford Fusion of Leavine Family Racing.
“I had Blake in our part time cup ride last year at Charlotte and was very impressed with his ability to adapt to the increased horsepower from his Nationwide ride to the Cup car. We have a sponsor that would like to see how he can handle the grueling 600 mile race and Frank (Stoddard) and I also feel it’s time to start looking at a few drivers for the 2015 season now that Terry Labonte has announced that this will be his final season in NASCAR. The season is already one third over so it’s time to see who’s out there so we can make a final decision this fall on next years driver.” said Go FAS partner Archie St. Hilaire.
Sponsorship of the car will be announced later this week.
Terry Labonte has driven the No. 32 car in two races this season while Travis Kvapil has started nine. Labonte has the teams best finish this season with a 20th place run in the season opening Daytona 500.
