Jeff Gordon will unveil the new No. 24 Axalta Chevrolet SS paint scheme at the race track this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The Brilliant Flames scheme, officially unveiled at the end of January, features a blaze of neon-colored flames on a brilliant black background and was designed by renowned motor sports artist Sam Bass.

Gordon is currently third in the NASCAR Sprint Cup standings following Phoenix and goes into Las Vegas ready, “The challenges we will face at Vegas are the same challenges we have faced in the past.” Gordon said.

“We’re up against the loads (of the car) in general at speed but also trying to get over these bumps, and that’s very, very challenging. You can run up high (to avoid bumps in Turn 1), but even then usually your left-side tires are on them.”
