Timothy Peters may not have won the closest NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Daytona but he can take some solace in the fact that he is atop the point standings.
Peters finished second by 0.016 seconds to Kyle Busch but he will leave the first race of the season with a two point lead over Johnny Sauter.
Last year’s champion Matt Crafton is currently 10th, 12 points behind Peters.
