Swan Racing will have two cars compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway. One of the machines will be driven by Parker Kligerman while the other will be driven by Cole Whitt.

On Wednesday it was announced that the No. 30 car driven by Whitt will receive sponsorship from Speed Stick. Whitt will get behind the Speed Stick Toyota Camry for the first official race on Sunday Feb. 23 at the 2.5 mile Superspeedway in Daytona.

Whitt, 22, will be one of several drivers competing for Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors.

“Nothing is more heart-pounding than driving 200 miles per hour, just inches apart – especially in front of tens of millions of people,” said Whitt. “Preparation is everything. My crew, my car and my body have to perform at an advanced level.”

Whitt has appeared in 14 Sprint Cup Series races over the last three years.
