Ryan Blaney to make Cup debut, run more Nationwide Series races in 2014

Team Penske will expand the driving schedule of Ryan Blaney in 2014. The 20-year-old Blaney will make 15 starts in th NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2014 and also make his Sprint Cup Series debut.

Blaney is scheduled to drive the No. 12 SKF Ford Fusion for the first time at Kansas Speedway in May. He will also compete in the October race at Talladega.

“I am excited to continue my racing career with Team Penske,” said Blaney. “I’m really looking forward to racing more in the Nationwide Series and it will be a dream come true for me to race in the Sprint Cup Series. I want to thank Roger Penske, our team sponsors and everyone at Team Penske for this opportunity and for believing in me.”

Blaney will be competing full-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driving for Brad Keselowski Racing.
