Chad Boat is the latest driver to join the ranks of the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2014. Boat will compee in at-least 15 races for the newly formed Billy Boat Motorsports.

Billy Boat Motorsports will operate out of Mooresville, North Carolina and field the No. 84 Chevrolet for Chad.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to compete at the next level in my career,” stated Boat. “We have a great team at Billy Boat Motorsports and I’m thankful for their hard work putting this program together.  I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the No. 84 Chevrolet this season.”
Dan Deeringhoff will be the crew chief of the team. He has been the crew chief for 168 races including four wins and the 2008 Nationwide Series championship with  Clint Bowyer.
“I have been around racing my entire life and it is an honor to have the opportunity to form a NASCAR program like this,” said team owner Billy Boat.  “Chad has shown so much promise in stock car racing, especially with our limited ARCA program last year, we felt it was an appropriate time to take this next step.  We are lucky to add Dan Deeringhoff  to our team and we are confident his knowledge and experience will lead us in the right direction as we get ready for this season.”
Boat will make his NNS debut on April 4th at Texas Motor Speedway. The team will also attend pre-season Thunder at Daytona this week and could add additional races to its schedule/
