BK Racing and David Reutimann part ways

BK Racing annouced on Monday that it had parted ways with veteran driver David Reutimann.

Reutimann drove in all 36 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races with BK Racing in 2013. He also competed in two races in 2012 for the team.

Overall Reutimann finished 33rd in the Sprint Cup Series standings. Previously he spent time at Michael Waltrip Racing where he won two races.

“Due to the current uncertainty of the team’s 2014 driver lineup, driver David Reutimann has decided not to pursue a seat with BK Racing for 2014,” the team said in a statement. “No official driver lineup for the upcoming season is currently available at this time.”

While no drivers have been announced its believed that Alex Bowman will drive the No. 83 car in 2014. When testing starts at Daytona this weekend the No. 93 car will be driven by Ryan Truex Jr.
