The hauler for Trevor Bayne’s NASCAR Nationwide Series car caught on fire Thursday.

Knoxville Fire Department Captain D.J. Corcoran said the fire appeared to be the result of a rupture in a diesel tank used to feed a generator. The fire was reported at 11:37 a.m. and is considered accident.

The incident took place on Interstate 75 North. There were no injuries and all equipment was safe. Bayne later inspected the scene.

Bayne is currently in eighth place in the Nationwide Series standings, 82 points behind point leader Sam Hornish Jr.
