Kyle Busch won at Watkins Glen on Sunday claiming victory in the Cheez-It 355. This win was his third of the year.
Marcos Ambrose began on the pole for the race at the road course which measures 2.45 miles in Watkins Glen, NY after setting a new track record. He would lead the most laps in the race but was forced to pit under caution eliminating him from contention and later saw his day end via a wreck.
The first major incident of the race happened when Jeff Gordon went off track and hit the wall ending his day. A wreck on lap 40 involving Ron Fellows, Travis Kvapil, Tomy Drissi and Landon Cassill brought out the Red Flag.
STANDINGS: Keselowski and Truex now in top ten
On lap 57 caution came out for Aric Almirola who hit a tire barrier. Kyle Busch who had pitted prior to the caution assumed the lead while Ambrose fell back to 14th for making a pit stop under caution.
With 11 laps to go Travis Kvapil lost a tire bringing out a caution. A subsequent caution came out when cars went though the esses and lost control among those damaged were Kasey Kahne and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
