Joey Logano won nine races in the NASCAR Nationwide Series last season, all of which came while driving the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota. On Saturday Logano won his first NNS race with Penske Racing at Dover International Speedway winning the 5-Hour Energy 200.
Logano’s win snapped a two race win streak of Kyle Busch. Busch again put on a show at Dover but was denied a win after pitting late and getting four fresh tires, while many others opted for just two.
At the time of the caution, Logano was five seconds behind Busch. When Busch came out of the pits he was 11th, he only climbed up to fifth.
It is the third consecutive Nationwide Series win at Dover for Logano. He led 66 laps total including the final 32 finishing ahead of two JGR cars.
