Austin Dillon will start the NASCAR Nationwide Series’ History 300 on the pole. He will lead a field of 40 cars to the green flag at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the tenth race of the NNS schedule.
Michael Annett will make his return to the series, he had been out since Daytona with a cracked sternum. In qualifying a series of cars spun and hit the wall. Travis Pastrana will be one of the cars forced to the back of the field due to a spin.
The race will consist of 200 laps around the 1.5 mile dog legged track for a total of 300 miles. Last years winner of this race was Brad Keselowski while Joey Logano won the fall race at the track.
Race coverage will start on ABC at 2:30 pm ET. The green flag for this race will drop at 2:57 pm ET. Allen Bestwick, Dale Jarrett and Andy Petree will serve as announcers for the race while Dave Burns, Mike Massaro and Shannon Spake will call the race from the pits.
Cars failed to qualify for the race include Matt Dibendeto, Tanner Berryhill and Bryan Silas.
Jeff Green withdrew from the race allowing Wallace to compete.
