Kyle Busch wins Nationwide Series History 300 at Charlotte, full race results

Kyle Busch won the History 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday. The win is his sixth in the Nationwide Series this season and was came in dominating fashion.

Austin Dillon qualified on the pole and led a field of 40 cars to the green flag but by lap 2 he was passed by Kyle Busch. Busch lead the field around the track for much of the race when action began to pick up in the final forty laps.

On lap 166 Travis Pastrana got lose and hit the infield wall he was later clipped by Joe Nemechek as he slowed to a stop on the race surface. John Wes Townely damaged his car also when he ran into the back of Eric McClure.

Busch and seven other lead lap cars stayed out under the caution while others, including Kevin Harvick, opted to pit. On lap 179 Reed Sorenson would spin his car bringing out the caution again. On the ensuing restart Dakoda Armstrong was spun by Micheal Annett.

Kahne would give Busch a run for the win but with five to go it was clear that no one was going to beat the No. 54 Toyota. Busch led 186 laps and crossed the line ahead of Kahne and Joey Logano. Busch now hows the record for most wins in the NNS at Charlotte. He has 57 career wins in the NNS.
