Kyle Busch won the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway for his fifth truck win at the track.
The race began with Jeb Burton on the pole but Kyle Busch moved to the front of the field by lap four. A caution for Joey Coulter cutting a right front tire jumbled up the field as some trucks had already began pit stops and were trapped a lap down. Notable drivers effected were Burton, Brendan Gaughan and Ty Dillon. Both took the wave around and restarted at the back of the pack.
Ross Chastain hit pit road on the ensuing restart with a right side tire going down. A lap later Matt Crafton and Ryan Blaney hit the pits with right side tire problems as well. Laps later Danny Efland would spin his truck around while Tyler Young narrowly was able to avoid hitting him.
On pit stops Timothy Peters made contact with Jake Crum while Kyle Busch left his pit box with the gas can. On lap 94 Ron Hornaday cut a tire after contact with Ryan Blaney. Crum, who was behind the two, had no where to go and ran into the back of the Horaday ending both drivers night. Blaney received damage to the back of his truck.
The final restart of the night came with eight to go, Busch pulled away from the field winning his 31st truck series race.
