Danica Patrick’s divorce from Paul Hospenthal is official.
On Jan. 3 Patrick filed to end her seven-year marriage to Hospenthal. Patrick cited an “irretrievably broken” marriage. Hospenthal did not contest the divorce making it official after a 60-day waiting period.
Two months ago Patrick confirmed that she was dating fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
According to court documents obtained Thursday by ESPN.com, the consent decree was signed by a judge on April 15 and filed two days later.
Competing in her rookie season at the cup level, Patrick has made eight starts this season with a best finish of 12th at Martinsville. She has completed seven of her eight races.
