Timmy Hill will be behind the wheel of the FAS Lane Racing Ford when the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series moves to Fontana this weekend. The team had split seat time of their No. 32 entry between former series champion Terry Labonte and veteran Ken Schrader.

Hill is running for Rookie of the Year honors this year after abandoning his effort at the award last season. He was the 2011 winner of the Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year award.

“We all gelled right away last year and we are all optimistic on what the 2013 season will bring.”

A native of Hagerstown, MD, Hill ran five Cup Series races last season including three with FAS Lane.

In 61 career starts in the Nationwide Series  the 20-year-old Hill has notched just two finishes inside the top-10.

“The main thing is for me to continue to grow as a driver and we as a team continue to improve each week. If last year’s starts I had with FAS Lane Racing and this year’s team performance is any indication, we should have a very successful season.”
