Jimmie Johnson is already a five time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion but with his 61st career win he continued to link his name to other legends in the sport.
Making his 400th start in the Sprint Cup Series, Johnson found victory lane in the 55th running of the Daytona 500.

Lee Petty, Richard Petty, David Pearson, Dave Marcis and Dale Earnhardt all had won their 400th start in the series. Johnson also became the tenth driver to win multiple Daytona 500’s.
Johnson started 9th for Sunday’s race and led 17 laps.
