The 55th running of the Daytona 500 took place on Sunday – and it was not without its moments. Three Toyota drivers suffered problems under the hoods while another took issue with the driving of a former teammate.

Denny Hamlin was unhappy with Joey Logano following the conclusion of the race.

Hamlin tweeted to Brad Keselowski, “@keselowski sorry I couldn’t get close to you cuz your genius teammate was too busy messing up the inside line 1 move at a time”

loganohamlinHamlin and Logano were teammates at JGR from 2008 until 2012. Gibbs hired Matt Kenseth to assume the No. 20 car prompting Logano to sign with Penske Racing thus becoming Keselowski’s teammate.

Hamlin was unhappy about how Logano was racing him, and disrupting his moves by not sticking to the inside line and making it three-wide.

Clint Bowyer jumped on Hamlin’s bandwagon – re-tweeting the statement and adding, “2nd that” to his comment.

Logano might be young, but he is proving he can run with the big dogs, and did just that when he shot back at Hamlin.

“@dennyhamlin I Remember when you were MY genius teammate. #LoveYouMeanIt” Logano replied.

The twitter war did not end there though, as Hamlin had more to say and replied to Logano again.

“@joeylogano inside line was doomed every 3 wide move that was made. Nobody who went 3 middle went anywhere” Hamlin tweeted.

Logano finished the Great American Race in 19th position, while Hamlin finished 14th. If the internet fight will affect racing is yet to be known, hopefully in the next week they can hug it out before heading into Phoenix.
