Dave Blaney and Tommy Baldwin Racing will feature a new number when they hit the track in 2013. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team will field the No. 7 Chevrolet SS in all 36 races this season.
The No. 7 had been controlled by Robby Gordon. Gordon does not expect to race in 2013.
“It is a very special moment today to announce the number 7 on our Chevrolet SS. The number has been in the Baldwin family for a long time and it is going to be pretty special to carry on that legacy in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.” said team owner Tommy Baldwin in a statement.
Blaney and TBR have run the No. 36 car together since late in 2010 after the driver left the Phil Parson team then called Prism Motorsports. The best finish for Blaney and TBR was a third place finish in the fall race at Talladega in 2011.
