NASCAR driver AJ Allmendinger tested postive for amphetamines

AJ Allmendinger has been suspended indefinitely by NASCAR after failing a random drug test. After a day of questions some answers are starting to come to the surface.

Business Manager Tara Ragan previously stated that Allmendinger’s postive test was just nanograms over the limit, a statement which was dismissed by NASCAR’s David Higdon who said that not only did Allmendinger know the  exact substance in question, but that “nanograms over” statement is inaccurate. Higdon says that Allmendinger was “substantially over.”

Earlier today Allmendinger made a statement that he would participate in NACSAR’s Road to Recovery program which is in place for users who have tested positive for banned substances.

Sam Hornish has replaced Allmendinger in the #22 Dodge for the upcoming races at Indianapolis and Pocono.
